Switchboard upgrades

Older style switchboards that only contain ceramic fuses or circuit breakers do not provide protection against electric shock.

Regulations require RCD’s be installed on all new circuits 32amp and under.

Installing surge protection is a great way to protect sensitive equipment such as TV’s and computers from power outages and surges.

Upgrading your switchboard with RCD protection on all circuits is the best way to protect you and your family against severe electric shock.

RCD’s measure current out and back in and trip at a predetermined value (normally 30mA) to help reduce the severity of an electric shock.

RCD’S also have a test button on them that should be pressed once a month.

It is important that a qualified electrician assess your existing switchboard and advise of any issues to protect you and your family.
